Method of FORD Engine Mounting




⑴ The engine must be rotated in the direction of the normal rotation of the engine until the piston of the first cylinder is at a position 60° before TDC.
⑵ Rotate the camshafts, and fix the two camshafts with special installation tools (made by steel plate).
(3) Use an open-end wrench to fix the hexagonal part on the camshaft to prevent it from rotating, install the camshaft sprocket and timing chain.
⑷ Apply pressure to the timing chain tensioner so that the fixing pin can be disassembled.
⑸ Tighten the fixed bolt (65N·m) of the camshaft sprocket.
